I am a registered member of the Society of Homeopaths ( www.homeopathy-soh.org ). The purpose of a register is to provide the public with a list of practitioners who have demonstrated their commitment to ethical and professional practice. The Society has defined the standard it expects its members to work to in the Code of Ethics and Practice, the national occupational standards for homeopathy and the Society’s core criteria. In addition its members must develop and maintain their professional competence on a continuing basis.
I am also a qualified teacher with twelve years experience working in primary, secondary and adult education here and in Spain. I loved being in the classroom but always felt frustrated that I didn’t have more time for those who needed individual attention – whatever their problem. I have integrated my teaching skills into aspects of my work as a homeopath, giving lectures and talks to specific groups. I hope this site will act as a springboard for those who want to learn a bit more about homeopathy.
Lastly, but most importantly, I am a mother of two teenage children and a wife. I continually learn so much from my family which I bring to bear on my work. Whenever one of us is below par it always has a knock-on effect on all of us. This is something which I see all the time in my work as a homeopath. Addressing the needs of one family member makes the whole so much stronger. A well prescribed homeopathic remedy can have beneficial effects which stretch far beyond the person for whom it’s been prescribed and it is a joy to see this in action.
